EYFS Inspection 2013.pdf 178KB EYFS Inspection 2013 - "Outstanding"

At Bridge Nursery we constantly strive to offer outstanding care, by nurturing each child’s individuality and wellbeing. We support their own natural curiosity by encouraging independent and adventurous learning, while providing a safe, secure, cosy and stimulating environment for them to explore and play. Providing outstanding care for children from 3 months to 3 years, we are open 50 weeks of the year from 7.30am to 6.30pm (with the exception of Bank Holidays and a short period between Christmas and New Year).

Bridge (and the whole of the Early Years Provision) has recently been rated Outstanding in an ISI Inspection in May 2013. You can read the whole report here.

We are ideally situated in the centre of Ashford with close links to the international station and Junctions 9 & 10 of the M20. Bridge Nursery has beautiful gardens set in extensive grounds where children can play and learn about the outside environment safely, ready to move up to the Nursery class of Ashford Prep School in Great Chart.

Baby Unit

Ducklings & Dragonflies Rooms

These rooms cater for children under the age of two. We plan carefully for each individual child so that they learn through their own natural curiosity. All equipment and activities are chosen to ensure development in all key areas in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. The unit consists of four linked areas which include a room for the pre-mobile babies, another room for the mobile babies, a separate eating and craft area, and a sleep room.

All children are allocated a key person when joining the nursery that will be responsible for the wellbeing, physical care and development of your child.

Toddler Unit

Frogs, Turtles and Butterflies Rooms

These cater for children over two years. The unit comprises of three large rooms linked by a corridor. Each of the rooms are equipped with a variety of areas with activities such as craft, block play, quiet reflective time, touch screen computers, mark making and small world. Once again all children have a designated key person.

The key person will maintain the child's Journey Through Nursery book, which will be available to view at all times. Also, in order to provide up to date information a contact book will be completed after each session to inform you about your child's time at nursery. This will include their physical day such as eating and toileting, and also their well being and activities they have enjoyed throughout the session.

All of the rooms have access to the garden and school grounds.
