There's nothing children enjoy more than getting hands-on and they certainly have every chance to do that at Ashford School. From Henry Moore sculptures in Year 1 to colourful outdoor displays and the chance to dismantle a computer, our students are bombarded with opportunities to find what it is they are good at, as well as to stretch their minds and imaginations.
Our students are regular winners of the International High School Art Competition with their work being displayed in Japan, competitions at the Turner Contemporary in Margate and the Kent Young Photographer Prize. One student was also recently awarded the United Learning Best in Everyone award for Design Technology.
Students take part in annual STEM days which combine Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, as well as various competitions and challenges throughout the year such as designing and making a land hovercraft and creating computerised animations.
