Ashford School (senior) is an All-Steinway School, meaning we offer the very best instruments for use by our students.
On Tuesday 1 October 2013 we took delivery of 11 Steinway pianos, including three grands. Generally acknowledged as the first choice of concert pianists, the Steinway grand takes more than a year to build and is made up of over 12,000 parts. The timbers are seasoned for four years before they are used.
And in February 2014 we celebrated with a remarkable launch concert, including a specially arranged piece for 16 hands. Since then, our students have gone from strength to strength and are regular winners of the Kent Festival Piano Competition.
