Applying for a place at the Prep School.
1. Visit us:
We are pleased to offer private tours of the School and a meet and greet with our Head, Mr Tiley-Nunn.
Please contact our Prep Registrar Mrs Dominique Hanson to arrange a visit, or submit an enquiry. This is the first step to joining us at the Prep School, as it is a great way to meet our staff and see first hand what our children get up to on a day-to-day basis. 2. Register for a place:
Once you have visited the Prep School, you will need to register your child for a place. This can be done by completing our registration form and paying our non-refundable £100 registration fee.
3. Online Assessments:
Once registered, your child will be invited to sit assessments in Reading/English and Maths (for children currently in Year 2 and above). At this stage, we will request to see the child’s previous school reports.
4. School reference request:
With your permission, a reference from your child’s current school is requested.
5. Taster Day:
At this stage we will invite children in for a taster day. This will give your child the opportunity to meet their year group and experience the vibrancy of Ashford Prep School. The day will also consist of an informal interview with the Head, Mr. Tiley-Nunn.
6. Accept the offer of a place:
If your child is offered a place, completion of the acceptance pack (which will be shared at the time of offer) and payment of a deposit of £500 should be made in order to secure the place.
A meeting can be arranged with your child’s prospective Head of Year to alleviate any worries you may have, and to discuss your child settling in.
