Individual visits at any time

Individual visits are possible throughout the year at a time convenient for you. You can come with or without your child, have a tour and meet with staff. If you are interested in your child boarding you will also tour the boarding facilities and meet some of the boarding staff.

Open Days

Ashford School and Ashford Friars Prep School hold Open Days across the year but welcome parents and children to come and have a personal tour at any time. Dates are currently being set at both sites for June and October Open Days so please keep an eye on this page or contact us today for more information.

Parents visiting our latest Senior School and Sixth Form Open Day on 10 October 2009 were able to take advantage of the opportunity to see all subjets in action: from Latin plays, a make-up workshop, orchestra rehearsals and art displays to the Trixter bike demonstration, talk from the School Captain and sampling snacks at the modern languages café. As you can probably tell, we are incredibly proud of our pupils and their achievements and relish the opportunity to tell you about them.

An Open Day is a showcase of some of the things that our pupils get up to. It cannot give you a comprehensive picture of the school or show you a full picture of how our pupils interact during a normal working day so if you would like to have a more personal tour of the school, please contact us at any time (details below).

Taster Days

As part of our admissions procedure we are delighted to offer pupils the opportunity to experience a taster day. Your child will be paired with a 'buddy' for the day and will follow the buddy's timetable thereby experiencing the same academic lessons.

Your child will also have the opportunity to participate in at least one of our 78 co-curricular activities. We find these taster days are a very positive experience and give children a real insight into life as a pupil at Ashford School.
