Ashford Friars Prep School (boys and girls age 3 - 11 years)

The Prep School is located at Great Chart, 2 miles west of Ashford. A free shuttle service runs between the Great Chart and Ashford sites at the start and end of each day.

The majority of pupils from Year 2 move into Year 3 in the Prep School and they are joined by a number of new children. There are 54 places available in three classes of 18 pupils each. An offer of a place is made after a visit and assessments in reading, writing, number and verbal reasoning.

Most pupils join the Prep School with the intention of transferring to the Senior School at 11+ and this is our expectation. Nonetheless, for the few that request it, we prepare pupils for the Kent Test and for scholarship tests to other independent schools.
