UCST Assisted Places for 11+ (Y7) & 16+ (Y12) only
Assisted Places (AP) are awarded to pupils in financial need and enable students to attend the School whose parents might not otherwise be able to afford the fees. The award takes into account both parents' income and assets. The maximum award is 85% of day fees and continues while the child remains at the School. An AP is unlikely to be awarded where the family income is greater than £50,000pa. Please refer the Application and AP Guidance notes attached.
Clergy Bursaries for children age 3-18
Clergy Bursaries are available to the children of clergy and take into account the joint income of parents. These bursaries are normally held by Anglican clergy but the school considers requests other Christian denominations. Please refer the Application attached.
Forces Discount for children age 10-18
A 20% discount per child from the boarding fee will be offered to children of forces personnel in receipt of the Forces Education Allowance.
Sibling Discounts for children age 3-18
A 5% discount will be given to the first sibling; a 10% discount will be given to the second and subsequent siblings who are simultaneously enrolled. Families of four or more children should make individual enquiries.
Emergency Bursaries
Occasionally, parents are unable to continue paying the full fees once their child has started at the School because of unemployment or other circumstances. In these circumstances it may be possible to provide a bursary or other short term support to enable the child to complete the current stage of education. Normally, such assistance is provided to those pupils who are preparing for public examinations at GCSE and A Level. Parents are encouraged to make an appointment to discuss their position in confidence and as early as possible.
