Great Chart Development - Latest

Work on the new buidlings at Great Chart continues at pace:

• the grass pitch next to the new car park has been levelled and seeded
• the old dining hall and kitchen have been demolished and the ground work for the new hall started
• the internal courtyard is being constructed
• the staff car park at the rear is under way
• the internal fitting and decoration of the classrooms has begun
• the new kitchen is being fitted

The new kitchen and dining hall will be in use from September 2009. We expect the classrooms to be handed over for occupation from early October so all is on course for the Pre-Prep to move from Ashford to Great chart in the October half-term and confirm this as the definitive moving date. The remainder of the building, including the new entrance, reception and hall will be ready for use in January 2010.
