Sizzling Summer Singing

Sizzling Summer Singing

Students, families and friends enjoyed another sold-out evening of music, this time over a leisurely three course dinner. The informal evening included orchestral works by Brahms, John Williams and Richard Rodney Bennett with outstanding solo performances from Alex Tsui (violin) and Hannah Pinney (piano). The Ashford School Singers produced a delightful medley of songs from Disney and the evening finished with a laid back procession of jazz from solo singers and groups including the Demon Barbers of Ashford School and the Barberellas. Outstanding amongst them were Jess Barnick and Caroline Welling, Emily Gardner, Sophie Buchanan and the Little Big Band.

Just to say how much we enjoyed the above.  It was a fabulous evening and a real show case for the school.  Watching and listening to all the talented pupils (and staff), we felt we could have been sat in any professional London theatre production.  It was also great to add some humour with the Demon and Rival barbers and the James Bond adaptation was really good.
