Ashford Friars pupils hit the slopes of Austria

Ashford Friars pupils hit the slopes of Austria
Forty Prep School children are starting the Trinity term fresh and rosy from the slopes of Austria.

The students spent an exhilarating seven days over the Easter break at the fabulous PGL ski resort in Axamer Lizum.

Mentored by five sporty members of the teaching staff they spent much of the day polishing their techniques in ski school, followed by well-deserved relaxation time when there was rounders, swimming and even a bit of shopping.

"It was really, really fun," said 10-year-old Verity Fotheringham who signed up for the ski trip after watching last year's presentation.

"It was a really good experience. The skiing was the best part and I'm hoping to go again next year."

The fun continued into the early evening with quizzes and a disco before the exhausted children - and staff - turned in for early nights. This annual trip is now in its fourth year and takes place every Easter holiday.
