Farewell to the Snow

A group of 18 Senior School skiers said a fitting goodbye to the last of this season's snow with a fantastic Easter trip to Torgon and Verbier.

They and three members of staff hit the resort and enjoyed brilliant sunshine while whizzing down the slopes at over 3,000 metres.

It was a mixed group of novices and more experienced students but there was fun had by all, says Susan Childs, Head of Maths.

"All our novice skiers mastered the chair lifts and blue runs while our expert skiers and snow boarders enjoyed fantastic mogul fields and some exciting off-piste adventures."

Staff and students also found plenty of time to relax after a hard day's skiing including trying out the awesome rides at a nearby water park, and making full use of an outdoor spa with thermal pools, steam room and sauna.

The Senior School ski trip has been a fixture since 2006 so look out for news of the 2012 destination.
