Sculpture on the lawn

A Sixth Form student's latest piece of coursework is so impressive it is being displayed on the lawn outside the Headmaster's office.

Congratulations to 17-year-old Charlotte Cobb who not only designed but manufactured a stylish wooden sun lounger with a modern twist.

"I'm delighted to have such a beautifully crafted piece of woodwork outside my window," said Headmaster Mike Buchanan.

"It's a wonderful example of what our students achieve. Well done Charlotte."

The sun lounger is part of Charlotte's Product Design A Level course work. She has already gained a very high A grade for other course work, which involved designing an indoor light.

Charlotte is hoping to go on to study Product Design at Brunel University.
