Primary schools join together to make music

Primary schools join together to make music
More than 200 pupils from six schools across the South East met for the first time at Ashford School, rehearsed for a day and by 4pm were ready to perform for family, friends and staff!

Brake Hall was buzzing under the direction of Ashford School Director of Music Mr Allan Clay and Music Teacher Miss Helen Tesh as the 239 youngsters formed a huge orchestra and choir.

"The students were of varying abilities but the important thing was that they were enthusiastic," said Mr Clay.

"It was extremely hard work but also extremely rewarding. Both pupils and staff get so much out of it and it is a wonderful experience. The concert was absolutely superb -it just shows what can be achieved."
