Congratulations to riders from Ashford School and Ashford Friars Prep School who have walked away with great success in the first inter-school show jumping competition of the academic year.
Held at Rooting Street Farm on Sunday, it featured teams from Ashford School, Ashford Friars Prep School, Kings Canterbury, Benenden, Highworth and The North School.
The 2'3" Competition - First Place Ashford School; Third Place Ashford Friars.
Well done to Jordan Boucher, Hannah Robson and Cameron Crawford-Smith for securing first place. Prep School riders Laura Brightling and Georgina Acott took third place, with Laura Brightling also winning third prize in the individual class.
The 2'9" Competition - First Place Ashford School
Charlotte Bromley, Sophie Buchanan, Emily Brightling and Ellie Jones worked as a team to secure first place.
Individual competitions
Charlotte Bromley beat off some extremely stiff competition in the 2'9" individual competition, flying around a tricky jump-off course in a fraction over 25 seconds to take another well-deserved first place red rosette. Emily Brightling also jumped well in the individual competition, securing sixth place.
Well done all - a great start to the season.
