An Ashford School pianist wowed the judge at the Kent Piano Festival and walked away with the prestigious Cain Cup.
Performing in four classes, Yilanna Huang, won three first prizes and took third place overall, winning the Christchurch Bursary Award.
Yilanna, who is in Year 13, competed against 13-19 year olds from across the county. A pupil of Stephen Dandridge, Yilanna is working towards her Grade 8 and will be performing Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals in the school's Music for a Summer's Evening next year.
