There's been excitement among the Year 5s who have been finding out more about the unknown.
They were visited by Jerry Stone, a STEM Science ambassador and space expert, who ran a workshop called Space Exploration and Investigation.
The boys and girls made a scale model of the International Space Station and even designed Mars 'landers' using everyday resources such as paper, sticky tape and plastic bags.
"The challenge was to ensure that a raw egg dropped from a first floor window could land without breaking," said organiser Mrs Ruth Clarke. "This took a great deal of teamwork, creatively and of course science."
