Prep (7-11 years)

Ashford Friars Prep School is available to children aged 3-11 and is located on our Great Chart site just outside Ashford, with excellent facilities and extensive grounds and playing fields.

Our children are happy, motivated and confident; they work hard and they play hard. The concept of adventurous learning to bring out the best in everyone is underpinned in our daily routine.

Appropriate risk-taking and seizing all opportunities to learn make a real difference to children and this ethos is appreciated by staff, children and parents alike.

Our close partnership with parents is a vital part of the school's success. Parents are encouraged to take a full part in their child's education; there are plenty of formal and informal opportunities to meet with staff and discussing children, as well as regular reports home and newsletters. There is a thriving Parent Teacher Association with a full programme of social and fun events for parents and children.

Personal Development

The school holds a strong focus on personal and social development with high expectations of manners, behaviour and respect for one another. Children are looked after by their form teacher with time set aside in circle time, form time and PSHE lessons to ensure children acquire key social and personal skills.

The spiritual, moral and cultural development of pupils is embedded in the curriculum and is also developed through assemblies, activities and other opportunities. Christian values and principles underpin what we do and we welcome children, parents and staff of all faiths and of none.
