The Sixth Form flourishes every year with new talent, good facilities, a wide range of subjects to study, careful academic monitoring and, as always, superb pastoral care based on our six Houses.
The Sixth Form experience is unlike any other and is an opportunity to explore the academic rigour of A Levels and university preparation, the wide variety of sports, creative and performing arts and the wider world international tours, community service and leadership.
We nurture the individual and have high expectations of you and what you will achieve. We expect you to be an active and leading member of the school and offer leadership opportunities through our senior student training and the activities that Sixth Form students run. We offer one to one support for your studies and individualised careers and Higher Education advice. Our size and the rich mixture of students allow you to participate fully and not be lost in a sea of people competing for the limelight.
Key Facts
My son joined Ashford School as a lower Sixth Form student and completed AS level examinations in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and German. In the course of his studying and living in Ashford he has made considerable progress both academically and socially. Life in the Boarding House, participation in numerous social and sports activities at school, as well as the challenges he had to face in everyday life, have helped him to become a more self-confident young man and be able to communicate more comfortably with people from different countries and cultures. I would like to thank all of the teachers, the Medical Centre and the rest of the staff for the support he has been given in every aspect of his stay at the Ashford School. The A level results of the students this year are an unequivocal confirmation of the quality of tuition offered at Ashford School and are also, I am sure, a pleasing reward for the efforts of the entire school staff dedicated to a profound and successful education. Life in the Sixth Form at Ashford School is the right balance of work and socialising. The freedom you gain by being at the top of the school means you are in control of your own time and your own studies. Similarly, there are always opportunities for socialising in the form of theatre trips, Balls and Formal Dinners. The careers advice I received has been spot on. Y13 day student

Probably the best part of being in the Sixth Form is the relationship we all have with the rest of the school. We are given plenty of opportunities and responsibilities and from this we are treated more as adults and our suggestions and opinions are taken seriously. The closeness of the Lower and Upper Sixth has also really surprised me, we really do get on!!! Year 12 student
My experience of Ashford School so far has been really memorable. I’ve settled into a warm and friendly environment, getting on with both my classmates and my teachers. Classes are small, and the school’s facilities make it a fun place to learn. There are many activities on offer here, and I am enjoying the atmosphere of this school. Year 13 boarder
