Lilian Brake Legacy Society Lunch 2023
On Monday 20 March, we were delighted to welcome members of our Lilian Brake Legacy Society into School for a special lunch with the Headmaster.
Named after the much-loved Headmistress of Ashford Girls’ School, Miss Lilian Brake (1928-1955), The Lilian Brake Legacy Society is for those individuals who have left designated gifts to the School in their wills, donated towards our bursary fund or other areas of interest, such as capital projects. The lunch is our opportunity to share recent news and developments here at Ashford School and with the Ashford School Foundation, to publicly thank our members for their ongoing support, and to talk to those interested in finding out more about leaving a legacy to the school.
Before the lunch, several of our members toured the School with Prefects Kitty & Toki. This was a wonderful opportunity for them to see the school as it is today, and to speak with current students about their experiences. Our students also loved hearing their reminiscing! We were also treated to performances from current students, Abigail, Emily, Ollie & Ishy.
A huge thank you to the members of the Lilian Brake Legacy Society who have, or are considering leaving a gift to the School. We are incredibly grateful for their support, which makes a transformational difference.

As we celebrate the School’s 125th Anniversary, we want to continue to grow the funds available through the Ashford School Foundation to enable more talented pupils, who otherwise wouldn’t have the means, to receive an Ashford School education.
If you would be interested in leaving a gift to Ashford School, or donating to the Ashford School Foundation, please get in touch with Hannah in the Alumni & Development Office or visit the relevant pages on the School website, linked below.
