Description

A bespoke workshop led by the Kent Self-Defence team, designed to empower the young people in our community, with an emphasis on de-escalation and escape techniques. 

The course will be delivered by expert instructors, Bob Dodds and Gareth Pears, who are passionate about equipping young people with the essential tools to enable them to navigate the streets confidently and safely.  

Bob is a black belt in Karate and an experienced cage fighter and Gareth brings extensive experience in close protection for high-profile clients, including Johnny Depp, Beyoncé, and various Love Islander ‘celebrities’.

Despite the serious nature of the content, the instructors will use humour and a relaxed environment, to ensure that skills are learnt in a fun and engaging way.  The instructors are espeically interested in real-life scenarios you might have faced to date, or heard about; you can share these in advance by email to morrism@ashfordschool.co.uk or share these scenarios more openly on the day.
