As an approved centre, with qualified course tutors and excellent facilities, Ashford School is excited to deliver a nationally recognised leadership qualification, designed for students in Years 6 – 8, who have a passion for sport and are keen to develop their leadership skills.

The two-day programme, running from 09:30 – 16:00 each day, will involve both practical and theory-based sessions, delivered in a fun and engaging way, with no formal assessments. This course improves organisation, teamwork and communication skills, as well as helping build confidence and self-esteem, as they take on the responsibility of leading their peers and younger children.

At the end of the two days all participants will receive the ‘Young Leaders Award’, accredited by the Leadership Skills Foundation. They will also take home their personal leadership journal, that they can choose to share with teachers and parents, or use to enhance their sports portfolio when seeking work experience, or job opportunities in the future.
