Register for the Pre-Prep Virtual Open Week
For one week only, Ashford Prep teachers are inviting prospective parents and their children to participate in exciting, interactive online lessons. These sessions have been designed to give the pupils a taste of what they can expect, should they enrol at Ashford Prep.
The lessons are taking place from Monday 22 to Friday 26 February, from 16:00 to 16:20 each day:
The lesson is titled “Apprendre les animaux” – don’t worry, no previous knowledge is needed! The children will learn about animals in French through exciting actions and a song.
The session is titled “Creative Critters” – the children will be designing & looking at patterns and colours to make imaginative 3D bugs.
The children will learn how to make an instrument and how to keep to a beat & make a rhythm while learning an action song!
The children will learn how to build and launch a rocket with Neil Armstrong! They will be introduced to Neil and witness first hand the launch of Saturn V and join him in saying his first words on the moon – “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Finally, the children will follow the instructions to make their very own straw rocket to launch into outer space!
Have you ever seen raindrops run up the window or seen a river rush up a hill? We imagine the answer is ‘no’, but during this session, the children will find a way to make water travel upwards and create a beautiful rainbow whilst doing so.
