While academic support is considered a priority for all pupils, we firmly believe in supporting the whole of a student’s learning experience. This includes supporting them through their decision making process when the time comes to think about University, careers and beyond.
We have two primary aims for our careers support provision:
- To ensure that all pupils are informed about the range of career options available to them
- To identify what pupils enjoy, are good at and could be doing in five years’ time
Today’s job market is complex and constantly evolving, and pupils are faced with a wide range of choices. While most of our pupils opt to attend university, our support extends to a much wider range of opportunities, including apprenticeships and direct entry into employment. To provide the best information, advice and guidance to our pupils, we organise various activities during the year, which are open to all Sixth Form pupils.
