Alumna is charity lead for Drapers x FTCT Covid-19 Appeal

Date Posted: Tuesday 01 December 2020

To help spread some festive cheer across the fashion retail sector Drapers, the fashion industry’s ‘bible’, are launching a “12 Days of Christmas” prize draw to raise funds for the Drapers x Fashion and Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT) Covid-19 Appeal, and alumna Bella Fish (Pilgrims, 2011) is the charity lead for this project.

For 12 days starting on 1 December, new premium men’s and women’s fashion prizes will be revealed. Thanks to generous industry donators – including Barbour, Fred Perry x Raf Simons, Hayley Menzies, AllSaints, Ted Baker, Lacoste, Reiss and Raeburn – there are 33 prizes up for grabs, worth a total of £8,500, with clothing and accessories gifted from the spring/summer 2020 collections.

Tickets are £5 each, or £20 for five tickets. Entrants will be able to buy tickets for their chosen item until 10pm on 16 December, and the draw will take place on 17 December. Every penny raised will go to the charity.

The prizes will be revealed on Drapers’ Instagram page – @Drapersonline – and via the prize draw website givergy.uk/DrapersPrizeDraw

The FTCT provides financial support to families in the UK fashion and textile industry who are experiencing hardship, and they have received a growing number of enquiries from parents facing redundancy as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, and can already see the added pressure they are feeling as the holiday season approaches. Since April 2020, FTCT has given out more than £225,000 in grants to help UK fashion and textile families affected by the pandemic. Appeal funds have already been distributed to children who were otherwise missing out, ensuring they have school uniform for the new term, comfortable beds to sleep in and working appliances at home for clean clothes and hot meals. The prize draw entry money and any additional donations will go towards grants to help parents buy necessities such as clothing, bedding and specialist equipment for their children.
