Key Stage Three Curriculum

In Years 7 to 9, students study: English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, Geography, Religious Studies, Art, Drama, Design and Technology, Computer Science, Food Preparation and Nutrition, Music, Physical Education. Year 7 pupils follow a carousel of French, German and Spanish for half a term each. Year 8 and 9 pupils study two Modern Foreign Languages. During Year 9, GCSE options are discussed and students start making decisions about GCSE subjects during the Spring Term.

Sixth Form Curriculum

Life in the Sixth Form is often described as the very best part of the whole school experience. Ashford School Sixth Formers achieve above and beyond what they initially anticipate for themselves.

Academically, Sixth Formers benefit from a wide choice of subjects, with excellent teaching and resources to assist you through the challenges of Sixth Form study. Most students will study the equivalent of three A Levels; some will do four; and some will follow a more bespoke curriculum. This can include BTEC Sport (Single or Extended), Crest Awards, EPQ and short professional courses.

The Sixth Form curriculum is rigorous and it is designed to provide a mixture of challenge and support, so that you continually extend yourself, becoming better equipped for life beyond Ashford School.

More details about our Sixth Form options can be found in the booklet provided below.
