The Lilian Brake Legacy Society

Each year our Headmaster, Mr Michael Hall, hosts an event for our Legacy Club members, and for those who are interested in finding out more about the Lilian Brake Legacy Society.

These are an opportunity for us to renew acquaintances and for our members to hear about the exciting things happening at the School, and for Ashford School to be able to thank you for your support.

For prospective members it is a chance for you to meet other members, or ask questions of the School about our future plans before committing your future support for our work.

The next lunch will take in March 2025 at Ashford Senior School, with an optional tour of the Senior School site.

The Waterman Collection is the result of a legacy left to the Learning Resource Centre by a local resident, Reginald Robert Waterman.

Mr Waterman died in 2017.  In his will, he expressed the wish that we should receive his extensive personal library.  His collection was so large that we were only able to accept a small number of books.  The rest were sold, and the proceeds used to purchase books and DVDs to expand the library resources.  In choosing new material, we wanted to honour the spirit of this generous bequest.  Therefore, the collection reflects Mr Waterman’s passion for art, literature, history and culture.
