Running the Budapest Marathon

Date Posted: Monday 29 March 2021

Daisy Keet (Knights, 2018) will be running the SPAR Budapest Marathon in October of this year to raise money for the National Autistic Society.

The NAS are the UK’s leading charity for people on the autism spectrum and their families. Since 1962, they have been providing support, guidance and advice, as well as campaigning for improved rights, services and opportunities to help create a society that works for autistic people. They help the 700,000 autistic people in the UK and their families. Be it running specialist schools, campaigning for improved rights or training companies on being more autism-friendly, they are dedicated to transforming lives and changing attitudes.

Daisy chose to support the National Autistic Society from her own personal experience of a friend with a family member someone suffering with Autism. Daisy said:

‘I know how hard it can be sometimes for her and her family so I wanted to help this amazing charity!’.

To support Daisy on her marathon challenge, you can donate via her JustGiving page.

To support her fundraising, Daisy is also making and selling beautiful painting prints, on her Instagram channel @daisy_print. Every print is unique and hand painted, and can be made to your requested size (A5 to A3), with prices ranging from £12 to £17, and all profits going towards the National Autistic Society.

We wish Daisy the best of luck with her training, and look forward to hearing more later in the year!
