The results are in! United Learning International Art Competition 2024

Eva, a Year 12 Art student at Ashford School, has been selected as the runner-up in the United Learning annual Art Competition. Her winning artwork will be displayed at the National Art Centre in Tokyo, Japan, representing the United Kingdom in the International Art Competition. This is a truly fantastic achievement and a reflection of Eva’s hard work.

Michelle Taube, professional artist who formed part of the judging process, said:

“This is a fantastic portrait and captures the essence of the sitter, Sage. I feel like I already know them from this painting. Excellent application of paint, I love the subtle brushstrokes. Fantastic use of dark and light which perfectly portrays the mood. Colours are expertly applied with beautiful tones. Composition is Ace! Mature work – finding it impossible to fault this painting.”
