At Ashford Prep School, Global Citizenship covers Religious Education and PSHE.
In Pre-Prep, we teach these in a fluid way, linking both in with one another. The children learn about different ways that we can show care towards ourselves and others and how various religions from around the word care for people. They learn about a range of festivals and celebrations from different religions, including Easter, Christmas, Eid al-Fitr and Ramadan, amongst others. The children are taught the different between a ritual and a routine and think about some rituals and routines from their own lives, before learning about and comparing rituals from world religions. We also spend time learning about different places of worship and understanding what worship is.
